About Us

The Tallahassee Farmers Market originally stemmed from the Tallahassee Curb Market on Gaines Street, which was present from the 1930s to 1950s.  In 1978, the market moved to the pavilion at market square, and the Tallahassee Farmers Market was established. In 2019, the Farmers Market moved to a new home at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Kerry Forest Pkwy and Thomasville Rd.  Several vendors you see at the market today have been there since the beginning.

Locally Grown and Regionally Sourced

All vendors at the market provide products that are either locally grown/produced or are regionally sourced. Products that can be found at the market include: vegetables, fruits, micro-greens, honey, mushrooms, meats, cheeses and yogurt, eggs, bread, granola, jams, pesto, cane syrup, soaps, and much more!  Many of our vendors use organic or natural growing methods.

Payment Methods

Our vendors work to accept a wide variety of payment methods.

Our market encourages an environment that is supportive of all varieties of people and income levels. Each individual vendor has their own payment systems. Most of our vendors accept cash, checks, credit cards and seasonal Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers.

Events

Several market events occur throughout the year

We occasionally have cooking demos and other events at the market. For more information on upcoming events visit our facebook page!
